Punjab Kings is a franchise cricket team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Co-Owners of the team include Preity Zinta, Karan Paul, Ness Wadia, and Mohit Burman. The team was established in 2008 as Kings XI Punjab.
The name changed to Punjab Kings in February 2021. Punjab Kings is one of the famous teams of the IPL, but they could not secure a single title in the IPL history. Looking at the current names after retention, Punjab Kings have some excellent performers in Shikhar Dhawan, Jonny Bairstow, and Liam Livingstone. Shikhar Dhawan was their highest run scorer in the IPL 2022, scoring 460 runs in 14 matches. Livingstone was behind him and scored 437 runs. Hence they have a stacked batting lineup.
Talking about their bowling side, they have Kagiso Rabada, who was their leading wicket-taker in the 2022 Edition. He took 23 wickets. He is an experienced and skillful fast bowler.

Punjab Kings Team Prediction 2023
The Punjab team will go to the IPL auction with 2nd biggest budget this year. Hence, there is a strong possibility that Punjab will choose some top and expensive players in the auction. Mayank Agarwal left a slot in the top order, which any right-hander youngster can fill.
The team also needs an allrounder in the squad after the release of Odean Smith. Australian Cameron Green is a good option after his recent performances. James Neesham is also a potential candidate after his exclusion from Rajasthan Royals.
The team will get one or two emerging players from the under-19 team of India. Muhammad Nabi and Rashid Khan from Afghanistan were released by their respective teams. Punjab can take one of them to strengthen its spin bowling department.
